MFT Scholarships 2020

About the scholarships:

At MyFavTutor, our mission is to transform the private tutoring landscape in India to improve the learning outcomes of all children, primarily from low-income communities.

To support our mission, we are coming up with “MFT Scholarships,” the first of its kind in the country, probably in the whole world.

For the year 2020, we have decided to give out Rs. 10,00,000 (Rupees Ten Lakh) by way of scholarships.

We are giving out scholarships to deserving students by helping them to find good tutors and fund their expenses. Here’s your chance to get up to Rs. 12,000/- Scholarship to fund your private tuitions.

Scholarship Details:
  1. MFT Scholarships will be given to deserving students only to support their private tuition expenses and not for any other expenses.
  2. MFT Scholarship amount paid to each student will be maximum Rs. 1,000 per month, payable for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months. So if a student gets a scholarship of 1 month, he/she will get Rs. 1,000, whereas a student who receives a scholarship for 12 months, will get Rs. 12,000.
  3. Scholarships will be given out only to students who have connected with a tutor through the MyFavTutor portal. This is our only way to ensure that the scholarship money is spent for the right cause.
  4. The scholarship amount will not be given to the student directly. It will be transferred to the Tutor from whom the student is taking tuitions. This will again help us to ensure that the scholarship money is not misused.
  5. If the tuition fee payable to the tutor is more than the scholarship amount, the student/parent will pay the difference amount directly to the tutor. E.g., if a tutor is charging Rs. 1,500 per month, then MFT will pay him / her Rs. 1,000 on the student’s behalf and the student will pay him/her the remaining Rs. 500.
  6. The scholarship amount will be transferred to the tutor’s account only after receiving the confirmation that the student has attended all the scheduled classes for the month and the same being confirmed by the student.
  7. MFT Scholarships Governance Team will decide on the scholarships to be given out each month. Their decision will be considered as final.
