My approach to teaching is oriented to a conversational rather than an instructive style enabling students to develop a questioning and reflective attitude to the subject matter. I use my subjects as lenses to understand society and bring about an empathetic awareness of both contemporary and historical events, people and places. I incorporate many interesting sources of information to deepen the understanding of the subjects. + more - less
